ProWell is an Erasmus + K226 project designed to address the impact on children’s wellbeing caused by Covid-19 pandemic. It aims to support them through innovative teaching and learning using digital technologies focusing on children’s wellbeing, build competencies and digital skills and provide necessary knowledge to teachers and other educators as a way of better supporting children. The ProWell project has achieved a list of different objectives. It has observed, identified and analyzed training needs and opportunities in the field of mental health support for students specifically as a response to public health emergencies. It has supported the development of blended and distance training on the promotion of mental health wellbeing of children and young people during and after major public health emergencies. Moreover, it has supported the development of innovative online resources and tools for teachers and educators, and it has increased teachers’ and educators’ awareness and preparedness skills in regards to supporting children and young people during and after major public health emergencies. Further, it has enhanced partner capabilities to develop and deliver relevant training and it has increased awareness and skills of communities, organizations, and other stakeholders on the newly produced training and the importance of promoting mental wellbeing in times of public health emergencies. Finally, it has raised awareness and created relevant networks across the EU. The target group of the project were teachers and other related educators, such as sports coaches, recreational group leaders, childcare professionals, nursery teachers etc. The consortium of the project has conducted four intellectual outputs: O1 - An Ecosystem Mapping and Methodological Framework: Mental health of children and young adults in public health emergenciesO2 - Pro-WELL training curriculum and contentO3 - Pro-WELL training platform and digital learning toolsO4 - Training Adaptation Toolkit. The Pro-WELL training platform and digital learning tools is a crucial output core to the project which through the consortium aimed to improve digital skills of teachers and educators so as to improve their ability to promote mental health of children during and after pandemics and other public health emergencies. We designed and developed an interactive e-learning platform, so as to increase the sustainability of the project training package by making it easily accessible to all interested parties. The e-learning platform, developed with the active participation of the consortium members, can be used as a virtual learning environment. Through the platform users are able to access the developed training modules, material and tools, participate in learning activities and use assessment tools to evaluate their performance as well as communicate with other learners and instructors, as the platform can also be a central point for exchange of information and ideas. All resources and educational material are open and free for any interested party, enhancing the outputs impact and making it accessible to participants with fewer opportunities. The platform also supports a digital resources data base, multimedia content and interactive infographics. Central elements of the platform are the communication and networking tools it supports, where members are able to register their profiles and identify other peers, creating on-line communities of practice. This mobile application was developed based on the project’s platform.
